I have a Vaio FE41S, it comes with vista home premium, just tried to install xp instead of vista, but i cant find certain drivers, anyone offer an advice?
The drivers im after are:
Network Controller (Think this may be the wireless)
PCI Device
Video Controller
cannot find them anywhere, any ideas?
Hi andrew and welcome to Club Vaio.
You will find all the XP Preinstalled Drivers and the XP Preinstalled Utilities on the download page for the FE31Z.
The FE3* series is nearly identical to your model except it was sold with XP as the Operating System - so all the XP drivers will be there.

Download the Preinstalled Drivers .zip and expand to a directory C:\Drivers
If you go to Device Manager and right-click on the devices without drivers, choose 'Update Drivers', 'Have Disc' and browse to the c:\drivers directory, they will install.
Hi, thanks
Is this guaranteed to work, ive just installed vista back after giving up with xp. but if this works ill reinstall it again
thanks
No guarantees as there are no official XP drivers and utilities for your particular model.
All I can say is that several users have had success with this method.
well i suppose ill give it another go, can only waste a day lol
