remote control doesn't work on vista

Hi there,

I have a Sony TP1 media center PC running on vista.
The remote controll doesn't work at all.
the indicator at the PC does indicate with a red light taht signals are actually reaching the PC but nothing happens.... pretty annoying to use the media center TV without remote 😞
any solutions ?
wasn't able to find any driver help or so
