Resolution reverts to lower resolution after restart

My Sony Vaio VGX-TP3E/B works via HDMI when linked to my Sony Bravia KDL-32D3000 and looks great at 1360 by 768 but then defaults back to 1176 by 664 after a restart! Any one come across this problem? I have googled and tried using vaio knowledge base (over 1000 answers found but none relating to my querie) Also would have thought there would be a search feature on the user support forum to see if anyone else had had similar issue resolved already

I have exactly the same problem. It seems to be caused by the 'Resolution Setting Utility Configuration' in the Vaio Control Center. I do not know of any way to disable this. The only alternative would seem to be to delete the Control Center and I don't really want to do that. If anyone haany other ideas, I would also appreciate any help.
