S1XP keyboard damaged

Hey,

Replaced Hard drive, had some problems with getting the clip for the keyboard ribbon out of the motherboard along the way, possibly causing damage with the connection (can't see any though).

Now half the keys on the middle row do not work, and all of the keys on the bottom row also don't work.

I;m really annoyed, after doing the "hard part" fine! Anyways, does this sound like a keyboard pronlem, or one with the connection to the MB, which would be ratehr serious.

If a new keyboard may do the trick, anyone know where I can get one from?

Cheers.

Difficult to diagnose at distance, but at a guess you have damaged the ribbon cable between the keyboard and motherboard. Try Kee-Lo’s link to Nexttronics as a replacement ribbon cable is not too expensive.
