S2Vp fan control

why is my fan constantly running ?-- XP doesn't ever switch it off - and it's really noisy. I preferred it when you had a separate control for the fan... (it's not that hot here either)

Its running because the temperature in your PC had passed a critical point, about 41 degrees I think.

The fans are keeping your laptop ALIVE.

To reduce the noise don't do anything too CPU intensive.

Or hoover the vents

Compressed air in the vents followed by using a vacuum cleaner's nozzle should sort things out.

Best used in combination, if you get over-zealous with the old spraying lark, the dust could go inside the laptop.
