Screen colour calibration

Hello. I've recently bought a Vaio Z51, which I'm quite happy with so far. There's just one problem: the screen colour.

As is my usual practice, the first thing I did with the Vaio was to wipe it clean and reinstall Windows 7. I can't stand OEM softwares. Everything went smoothly, but now that I have the system running, I've noticed that the colours are simply too vibrant.

Yes, I know the screen is supposed to be vibrant, but some of the colours are just off. Most noticeably, everything purple tend to look too reddish. What's supposed to be violet colour become almost magenta. This is especially noticeable with a black surrounding. Most other colours are quite vibrant as well, but not nearly as exagerated as this reddish-purple.

I've used the Win7 screen calibration wizards to calibrate the colours, but this didn't help. I've found this "colour setting file for Yamma" download on the Vaio support page. I downloaded it and ran the batch file within, but it didn't seem to do anything. Since I work with graphics a lot, this is becoming a real problem.

Can someone help me correct the colour? TIA
