I have a sony vaio FS series notebook and i seem to be facing a rather strange problem with it these days.
The brighntess of the screen changes depending on how the screen is positioned. E.g. it gets dull and if i move the screen slightly up or down it gets back to normal. I bought my vaio in April of this year and i find this to be quite shocking that the screen is already giving in?
Is that the real problem?
and anyway smartie! if this screen is not X black, so it has only 1 lamp so its normal to do this.
The FS series comes with XBlack 2 screens, which work with double lamp technology. On the other hand no VAIO of the FS series came with an ATI chip.
When I bought my a397xp I could adjust the screen lamp...with dark brighter and max..I must have accendly pressed some setting..I only have max bright and dark...auto..How can I change that back..Anyone with clues..

Blue, you are really beginning to get on my wick! Why look at Dixons when Sony has a whole site dedicated to its PCs!!! Vaio link is the place for all the info you need, and if I were you I would quit riding your high horse and think before you post again as you are making a complete idiot of yourself!

Chris you are so correct but methinks Blue likes being a hated dropkick

Hahahaha, I must say I expected that but hey you can but try, when you make accusations try to think about who you are speaking to, not just me in particular but the rest of the guys here who have been regularly posting useful informative advice for YEARS! dont stroll in thinking you know this place when you quite clearly dont.
That is why you are getting a slightly hostile reception. be cool and so will we, be an idiot and well, you already know what happens...........

U post ur ideas to help the others and i post mine, u have no right to critisize my ideas all the time, like RobPaxton with his computer pampers! if u think u own this place, i think i do too.
