Should I update my Artheros driver?

Sony Vaio VPCEC1S1E Artheros AR9285

My Wireless driver is v8.0.0.238 but I see that there are later drivers i.e. v9.2.0.467 so the question is should I update to the newer driver even though the Sony test or Windows Upadte dosnt mention it?

Hi Gee,

As Sony do not appear to have released this driver for your model as ‘tested and working’ the old adage of ‘if it isn’t busted then don’t fix it’ would apply. Unless of course you are having problems...

My own rule of thumb, "Don't fix it if it ain't broken". Anyways, you canalways rollback if you will be getting problems with it.
