Size of Vista working efficiently

Dear Experts,

I have just recieved my new Vaio with Vista pre-installed.
I am wanting to resize and create additional partitions in a Vista environment.

My question is : how much space should I allocate in order for Vista run efficiently

On my current XP Vaio the C drive which contains all my SW is 18GB.
I will want to install all my different SW excluding XP on partition C on my NEW Vaio.

Your advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Hans

To be safe, and to allow for buffering, windows page file etc I would say around 32GB-40GB.

I see people using 64GB, but that's because they have a solid state drive (droools)
