Sony Fe21b Power Management

Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to change the power settings on a Vaio Fe21b - I can get to the control panel and chnge the profiles but I was wondering if there were deeper settings like altering the brightness for specific profiles or turning down the cpu etc...I have seen these options on other laptops - acer etc but was wondering if there is a sony power management utility or a third party one?

Thalamus...I tried reinstalling the 2nd set of utils and this time it worked! I have the extra options - many thanks for your help

Also the option to power save where u can turn it on or off - what does this do?

Hi MrMatt,

I'm still sure the problem is to do with installing the Pre-installed utlities.

Maybe you need to install more of the folders as several of the files use the same key numbers..:smileyconfused:

Right I've got it all working. One other query - In the Vaio Power Management Tab there is a power-saving mode option - what exactly does the power-saving mode do?

as for the Power-saving Mode..

This I believe reduces the power to your graphics chip, therefore reducing the power consumption.

Select on and see if you notice any imporvement..:smileywink:
