Sony Vaio A617B and Samsung Symaster LCD

Hi,

Im trying to use a Samsung LCD as my second monitor with my vaio. It all works fine on startup when connected, but as soon as the desktop starts to load on my screen, the Vaio stops sending a signal to the Samsung TV. The vaio works fine with an NEC lcd screen, and the syncmaster works fine with other PC's. Looking on the net there have been some compatible issues. Wondering if anyone had a resolution for this, or any help?

thanks

Hi,

As far as I am aware there is no fix for the compatibility problem, Sony blame Samsung & Samsung blame Sony.. :slight_frown:

I can't find it either Kee-Lo - I think it was the 'Vaio Event Service'

qhuba posted in this thread that Unfortunately disabling Vaio Event Service didn't solve the problem. :slight_frown:

The only reference of a fix that I can find is this from kad1999 see below..

Hello everybody,
I have just conected my plasma to the vaio ar21s.
I have a samsung 63 inch.
I have no problems.
Only a little hitch voice is out of sink.
Go to properties, settings.
You find two screens tick screen two.
Play with the reselution pixels and all should be working.
