Sony Vaio Laptop SVE1511K1E - FN Key Issue

My HDD failed recently and after installing a new HDD and installing Windows 7 I have been unable to use my FN key to toggle the touchpad, volume, etc. Specifically the touchpad as I use a wireless mouse. I have tried to install various drivers which I have downloaded not only from Sony Support but from various mirror sites to no avail, the drivers I believe I need are:

  1. Sony Firmware Extension Parser Device Driver (SODOTH)
  2. Sony Shared Library (SOASSL)
  3. Setting Utility Series (SOASUS)
  4. VAIO Event Service (SOAVES)

However I cannot get past the first driver as it says it is not the correct version for my model, nor after 3 days of searching have I found it.

Hello Tuckmando,

There are a selection of drivers and utilities, including the touchpad driver, available on the Sony support site, the link below will hopefully take you straight to your Vaio models support site where you can download the files you need.
