I am trying to install PaperPort 11 from Nuance on my new Sony and partway through get the message "the set up needs to access the following application which is in use...brs (Process Id:2700)...please close all other applications and retry"

But no other applications are running and "retry" does nothing.

Any ideas gratefully received!

Hi Bellamax2,

I have no idea what brs (Process Id:2700) is but if you cannot identify and stop this on the 'Processes' tap of Task Manager then try the install in Safe Mode (tap F8 at boot to select Safe Mode).
