I've got an issue with a client PC which seems unresolvable? The LAN card simply won't work on the BT home hub v3 at the clients home but it works fine on mine (VM super hub) I've checked EVERYTHING and even re-installed XP on the PC but there doesn't seem to be a newer driver available for the "intel pro 1000 pm internet connection" LAN card.
For me the issue must be the fact that the home hub has been made more secure for todays internet usage which is fine but this LAN card must've slipped off the scale and isn't compatible any longer?
I can't get a reply from BT in their forums which is ranked #2 if you google the thread title
Does anyone know if there's a newer driver available before we go wireless, lol I just hate to be beaten and would rather resolve the issue than work around it

The most recent driver available on the Intel Downloads website for the Intel Gigabit PM looks like version 17.1 dated May 2012 available here: -
Good Luck - but as you say, a WiFi Dongle is an easy alternative.
Sony doesn't make the Intel pro/100v chip.... Intel does. Sony might have used it in manufacturing their motherboards or NIC adapters.

I know Sony don't make the intel chip, the names a give away but the PC is a Sony so I thought I'd ask here
Thanks Blencogo, it looks like you did the same as me and got the same results so I'm close to doing all I can I guess!
The 9.6.31.10 was created in 2006 going by its details in DEV MAN once installed so that told me there wasn't a newer driver since the PC was made and is why I came here (user feedback and experience). I grabbed the PROWin32.exe driver but have only run it prior to the re-installation of XP so will go & try it. If that doesn't work they're going to go wireless
Thanks for taking the time to research and assist me
