about 2 days ago, windows did an automatic update, and restarted the system. From that point on whenever the system is connected to the internet, it constantly freezes, goes slow and is pretty much innefectual and unresponsive. Im using IE9 and i start up and log into Facebook, scroll half a page then the webpage becomes unresponsive.
I hardly run any programmes, just a bit of casual browsing and football manager. But this is getting right on my noggin now,. I have an old toshi that i use for everything else. Its been through the wars effectivly but carries on going.
After the windows update, it did do another update shortly after and was working fine for a little while till it began again, And i dont have a clue whats happening
Please can someone help or offer any advice.
P.S
i didnt back up the system as i have no real personal files on there, not even changed the screen saver!
Laptop freezing can come in a variety of forms. They can be:
o Your computer freezes up completely, leaving you unable to so much as move the mouse around.
o The laptop crashes and restarts, showing the notorious Windows blue screen of death.
o The programs you were using have frozen, you can move the mouse around but it has frozen on the hour glass hand. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101005200450AA7Cw8R
