sound problems on VGN C2S

I have lost sound on my Vaio VGN-C2S have checked microphones are working and Realtek High Definition is working ok but no sound and nothing is muted - can anyone help. Have also reinstalled drivers but no change.

Have you done any sound updates recently? The newest update i had for my Vaio was SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC

Have you tried attaching external speakers or headphones.?

Also try booting your vaio into safe mode, do you get sound.?

To boot into safe mode start your vaio and when you see the Vaio logo press the F8 key repeatedly..
