Spare parts for Vaio P series?

Hello all.

I'm now the proud owner of a P-series second gen - VPC-P11Z9E/B.  I've managed to source enough third-party accessories (carry case, screen protector etc.) to feel happy about carrying it around with me.  It has been heavily used however and I wondered whether there was a UK, European or international central point of contact for spare parts? I'm an engineer by trade and have sufficient nerve to be able to service the PC myself but if I wanted a new keyboard, new top and bottom case moudlings and a new fibre cap for the pointing device, where would I go??

Having owned plenty of Sony kit in the past (hi-fi mostly) I have been used to always being able to buy any spares I wanted - I remember using SES a few times but not sure if they're still around?

Does Sony have a contact number for spares?  Where do all the repair shops get their parts from?

Not  sure if they will but have you tried contacting one of the Sony repair  partners & ask them if they'll supply the parts you require..

Thanks for your answer.  I hadn't thought of that.  I've found a local centre and I'll give them a call with a few part numbers.

I find it so sad they stopped the P series.  I know we're probably all going "tablet" but being able to carry around 2GHz of Windows 7 professional computing power in an inside pocket still strikes me as being an amazing achievement by Sony.

I'll leave the thread open but mark your response as helpful, in case anyone else has an alternative answer.
