Here are all of the notebook HDD I can find. I have the 200GB in my notebook and it is really good. As for copying all of the recovery data i am not sure its possible as it is done with a special program although you may be able to do a straight copy using another computer.
Here is the specification for the Vaio you mention but i don't know the disk that is in it. Do you have a model number for the disk?
hi Matt, the spec is Fujitsue model:- MHU2100AT.
Thanks Ray
Here is the full specification for your drive. I would suggest that look look at the 200GB hard drive although the upcoming 300GB looks very interesting as it contains new technology. I would definately stick with Fujitsu as they are possible the best for notebook hdd.
hi matt.
any idea where i can obtain one of the 200/300gb from. i have looked on ebuyer and they have several, is there any thing specail i should look for, eg, number of pins, oem, memory rpm etc.

ray
ps thanks for you help.
Personally i would buy them from overclockers as they are very good. These disks are exactly the same as the one you already have bar the fact that they have a larger capacity. Would probably stick with the 200 or the 250Gb as they are more reasonably priced and more readily availaible.
hi matt.
thank you very much for your help, good site good price, shell use this more often
