Yes, it does seem to be a feature. I have looked at task manager and it appears to be the disk access. There are a lot of applications that seem to run by default - checking disks and cataloging pictures and videos. I am finding it hard to identify the sourcee of some gurgle splurges. The file history application must be one of them - like the old system backup that happened automatically. Anyway, you are not alone - I guess we just grow to like it in time.
