T1XP Battery Power Indicator Problems

HELP - All I want to do is be able to know what % power is left in my battery, and although I keep setting the option for showing this on the toolbar in the power management application ("Advanced" tab), it doesn't appear on my toolbar.

An infuriating bug in Windows XP stops icons from showing up. Not just the battery either. Do the following:

Click Start, and then click Run, then yype Services.msc and then click OK. The Services window appears. Scroll down to Universal Plug And Play, right click and then click Properties. On the next window where it says startup type, set this to automatic.

No guarantees but this will solve the missing system tray icons bug for 90% of people.
