I have a Sony VAIO VGN-A295HP, and what is worring with that machine is that it has always been slow during boot. In fact it worried me so much that I decided to investigate it some more. And to my help I had the fantastic tool bootvis, it gave me a total boot-time of >5 minutes. Yes you read it right, more than FIVE minutes...
So I'm curious to hear from anyone else, who also find their machines a bit over the top, when it comes to boot-time.
A note about bootvis, it is a tool produced by MS, and will give you each and every process that starts up during boot, how long they are running for, any latency/delays etc etc

Tobias
