Touch Pad not working

I have a Vaio PCG-K315Z and i was playing one of they stupid card games and the mouse pointer started to jump around after 4 mins it got a lot worse so i resarted my laptop as i thought that could help. When it restarted the mouse pad stop working? i can press the buttons and they still work and the pad respond to touching it as it can still close programs by double clicking. has anyone else had this problem and what can i do??

Also i have a 2 yr war on it and i heard it a common prob with other vers of sony laptops?

I would suggest reinstalling the touchpad driver.
This is usually on the VAIO CD.

Check the C:\Drivers folder for the driver.

If you are in warranty I would have it checked, sounds to me like a connection got loose.

I would use a USB mouse in the meantime while you wait for the repair to be done if you are under warranty, they retail for about £20 or maybe less.
