I recently moved into a new flat, and I have had severe difficulties connecting ym computer to their wireless network. It is a Vaio VGN-NW20EF with an Atheros AR928X wireless network adapter, and the wireless network is a virgin. Initially, I had difficulty with the DNS look-up defaulting to a specific connection, instead of connecting automatically as was required for the connection to work. Once I changed this setting both in the Windows connection profile and the VAIO control panel connection profile the wireless seemed to be functioning correctly. However, it has started dropping the connection again, and I can find no obvious cause. Do I need to install a new wireless driver? Or could there be some other problem.
