Trying to update firmware for Memory Stick Pro = crash!

Hi,

I hav the vx71p and have downloaded the utilty to update the firmware to be able to use Memory Stick Pro.

Installed the program, run it and it crashes (There has been an error message).

Anyone else with the same problem?

I tried to update the firmware on my GRX 5 or 6 times (Once after a full recovery).

I gave up on it.

So doesn't Sony care that because of that people will not buy their Clies with MS Pro?

I somehow managed to update the firmware on my GRX successfully.

I read that you downloaded and then ran the update - did you put an ordinary (not Pro) formatted memory stick in the slot for the update.

Sorry if ita stupid question, it is the only thing I can think of to help.
