TV in black & white

Hi everybody,

I am a new VAIO user, and I am trying to connect the s-video output of my laptop to the s-video input of the TV (I am not using a scart adapter). However, I just can watch the image in black & white. I have checked that the NTSC / PAL configuration is correct, but in all cases the display was the same. Also I have updated the NVIDIA drivers, but the results were similar.

Could you help me to watch the TV with colours?

Go into the settings of the TV & look for the video settings of the AV input you are using.

Needs to be set to Y/C or S-Video not Video or Composite.

What make of TV do you have?

Since I changed my TV configuration settings, I could watch the output signal of the laptop correctly. I just had to look for the Y/C option!!
