tv tuner and digital freeview uk

Please could somebody help. I have recently bought a Sony VGN FS215Z laptop, which has built in tv tuner but I have set it up and can only access terrestial TV channels. Does anyone know how I can add the digital channels to the laptop, I no you can buy hardware to do this , but this would mean buying a whole new tv package which seems silly as I already have a tv tuner etc.

The only way you can do it is with a digital card, the card in the VAIO is only analogue

you'll have to buy a hardware that is capable of receiving digital channels. the cheapest and easiest way would be to buy one of the digital boxes that connect to a tv which you can pick them up quite cheaply nowadays. all you have to do is connect the tv arial to the box, and then connect the box to your tv card. im not sure what inputs you have on the tv card but it is likely that you'll need to connect the box using your arial port, so make sure that the box is compatible with this.
