hi all....got a little problem with the devastatingly complicated task of tyring to play a cd in my cd drive on my new Sony Vaio FW21m
it sounds simple right......new cd, put into cd drive, listen to music!
but oh no that's too easy for Mr Gates and his usless opp system (vista)
on my old XP that's all i needed to do put the cd into the drive and it would copy the files onto/into my My Music folder or/and play the cd.
but that's just too simple for Vista.
i have now being trying this for 3 hours.....3 hours!!!!!!!!!
and still no sound, no music, not a peep.
when i go into my Computer and double click on the icon in (F) drive i get a pop up that says i do not have permission to access this device. I DON'T? really? it's my laptop its my cd so what permission do i really need or who do i get this secret permission from?
why is this sooooooooooo complicated this is a home computer for gooddness sake!
must i really be expected to spend all day just to get a cd to work on a laptop.
when all i need do is put one in a hi-fi and press play.
i have tried a few cd's and i keep the same problem.
i would appreciate any help with this
thanks.
