Upgrade DVD Writer

Hi
I've got a Vaio PCV RS122.
I have bought a new dvd writer to upgrade the original in my pc but can't take the old one out due to the case having like some sort of cover over each drive.
I've tried to remove it but can't take it off.

Does anyone know if I can take the drive cover off in front of the drives?

Hi ColossusGear and welcome to ClubVAIO.

I can't find any details on replacing drives on your model.

With other desktops, the whole front of the Vaio unclips and can be removed. There are usually a couple of screws holding the drives and when thay are removed, the drives just slide out the front of the unit.

Sorry I can't be more specific - even Google fails to find anything useful.
