Upgrade hard disk on sony PCG-TR5MP

I have a sony vaio PCG-TR5MP with windows XP (SP3) installed I wish to upgrade its 40 GB hard disk to a higher capacity I have no idea how to access the hard disk and what type of hard disk replacement I need ? any help would be appreciated
