US bought Vaio PCG-31311L

Hi

In August I had to buy a Vaio PCG-31311L notebook whilst on holiday in the US

Back in the UK, I'm concerned that using it with a standard US-UK adapter may damage it

Can anyone advise if I need to buy a voltage converter for my machine?

Under the model number it says 19.5v ...... I'm extremely novicy when it comes to such things

Thanks all

Rich

No - you should be OK.

The AC Adapter works normally in the range 100 volts to 240 volts.  If you look on the adapter block, you will see "Input 100v to 240v" so it has been designed for use in USA and Europe.

You may choose to replace the  plug and cable that plugs into the adapter block with a UK cable when you can but the standard adapter should be OK in the meantime as the input current is only about 1.5 amps.
