I have a Vaio PCV-RS322E desktop with an ASUSTek PS4D-VX mobo installed. I have recentley had to do a system restore which has resulted in me losing USB 2.0 functionality.
When i look in the hardware manager all i see is "Intel 82801EB USB Universal Host Controller" for 24D2, D4, D7 & DE. Looking on the other forums around i should be seeing something which says " Enhanced Controller" which indicates USB 2.0. I am also getting an error message " This device will run faster if you connect it to a hi-speed USB 2.0 port" whenever i use a USB device.
I have gone into hardware manager and tried to update the USB drivers but this had no effect as the drivers were the correct ones.
Sorry to drone on but backing up using standard USB is mind numbing so any help would be very much appreciated.
