USB Memory drive not recognised , VGN-N11S/W Windows XP Media Center Edition

Hi,

My laptop doesn't recognise usb flash memory drives. Is this something to do with Windows XP Media Center edition or some thing else?

My FE31Z has WMC 2005 and I have no problems with USB Drives. If you plug anything else into the USB Sockets is it recognised? Also check in Device Manager to see if the USB Controllers are showing up as being installed properly.

Thanks, there was actually no problem after all. The drive letter associated with the flash drive was identical to a drive letter which is at my workplace network. Since I am not able to access the workplace network from home (I could still see the drive letter), I didn't think that Windows would give the same letter to the flash drive.
