First off i know that this question is all over the place, but i cant seem to find a recent answer to it. the reason why im asking is because of something i seen on the sony site.

There is a part where it says connecting them by HDMI and using the screen, but on selected models only. And I cant find these "selected models" mentioned anywhere.
Does anyone know what models they are refering to at all?

Hi WitheringRockstar and welcome.
To use a Vaio as a monitor for a playstation, needs a Vaio with a HDMI input.
As far as I know, from the current line-up only the SVL-Series All-in-One Vaios have a HDMI In connection.

Previous Windows 7 Vaios with HDMI-In are the VPCL**S1E All-in-Ones and some of the even older Vista All-in-Ones in the VGC-LV series.
All Windows 7 Vaios have Remote Play software and you can connect wirelessly through your network or via the internet. However, this is mostly for content sharing and not for live video transfer.

Thanks, i just got my Vaio - VE1712C5E last week. and only spotted the thing on the vaio site yesterday.
they should really use a HDMI input on laptops as well as output.
