I purchased my sony vaio laptop at the end of november. After a couple of days I noticed my laptop kept freezing for a couple of seconds after 10 -15 minutes, but I put up with it because it wasn't too noticeable. However, the problem just got worse, wth the laptop freezing for longer amounts each time. i arranged a repair for another issue (static/crackling noises from headphone jack) and also logged this as a complaint.
My laptop was returned to me with neither issue fixed, just a complete restore. The freezing is getting much worse now and its really annoying. My 4gb ram and i5 processor laptop runs much slower than my old 3gb core 2 duo.
can someone advise me whether this is a hardware issue or software, because I am only covered for hardware problems for the first year.
