SDHC is a totally different format to SD and in general, a device will not support SDHC unless it carries the SDHC Logo.
All Vaios are not SDHC compatible and in general, the answer is NO. It is possible to update your software to Version 2.0 and to apply a Microsoft SD Rollup Hotfix fix but if the original hardware is not SDHC Compliant, the cards will not work.
All you can do is to borrow a SDHC card and try it. I have heard of some recent Vaios reading the cards. Oddly many Vaios will read the card when running Linux but not when running Windows.
