i've searched this forum and found a few questions regarding Vaio Gate rss feeds but none of them come up with a proper solution.
i want to see world news, so i used IE9 to subscribe to BBC News (http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml?edition=int) and set the feed update schedule to 15 minutes. (other feed settings are default IE values)
in Vaio Gate (v2.2.1.09131), rss display time is set to 6 seconds and notification interval is 5 minutes (default values).
everything works ok, but after restarting windows, it doesn't show news until i run IE! (my default browser is Firefox and i rarely use IE)
is this normal behavior of Vaio Gate RSS and should i execute IE everytime i turn my EA3 (Windows 7 Home Premium) notebook?
it would be nice to see a comprehensive help for subscribing and setting RSS feeds in IE and Vaio Gate.
