The brightness control has stopped working...can anyone tell me the name of the driver that controls this? Thanks, Dave.

Hi davehuge1971,

All the Function Keys, including the screen brightness, are controlled by the Vaio Utilities.

You need to install IN ORDER:

Utils Installer 1 (Sony Utils DLL)

Utils Installer 2 (Sony Shared Library)

Utils Installer 6 (Setting Utilities Series)

Utils Installer 7 (Vaio Event Service)

You may have to install these twice.

These Utilities may be available in a folder C:\Utils on your Vaio - or you can download the Original Utilities Package from here: -

NOTE: I am assuming XP. If you are using Vista come back.

EDIT: I have noticed that there are updates for Sony Utilities DLL and Vaio Event Service - just click on the 'Updates@ Tab.
