I need some help from the more experianced or others who have had the same issues. I have a Sony VAIO laptop model number VGN-FZ11S and the motion eye web cam has stopped working. I have tried to find the driver software download on the Sony site bat cant seem to find it.
If anyone can help me out or point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
Hi Europe2012 and welcome.
First check in Device Manager -> Imaging Devices. Is the Sony camera VCC4 installed?
If it is not installed, you need to download the Original Drivers Package which is under the Preinstalled Drivers and Utilities section. Right-Click on the downloaded .ZIP file and choose 'Extract All'. Extract the files to C:\Drivers. Go into this folder and look into the C:\FZ1_Drivers\Camera\VGP-VCC4\DPInst32.exe and run it by double-clicking on it to install the driver. This is the 32-bit installer - there is a 64-bit installer also.
Check in C:\Program Files\Sony that the TWO Camera Utilities are installed. If not download the Original Utilities Package and extract the files. Run the Setup.EXE in BOTH the Vaio Camera Utility and the Vaio Camera Capture Utility to install them.
Download both the Drivers and the Utilities from the Preinstalled Drivers and Utilities Section here: -
