VAIO UPDATE

I have recived information about updating my VAIO. I have downloaded this files but i just have found one problem:
i don´t know what files i must to install, I mean, in my update folder i have just recived one file. This file has a very large name but this name means nothing for my. My computer is a VAIO VGN-A317M. Can anybody help my please?Thank you!!!

where did you download it?, and what kind of update it is? why did you download it if you doesnt know what file it is.:smileyconfused:

I would only use updates from VAIO-Link.

"SOFOPD-00829904-UN" and i do not know what kind of program is this. I am not sure if i should install this program...

This is a Firmware upgrade for your DW-D56A CD drive. Unless you are experiencing problems I recommend that you leave it alone as there have been recent reports of Firmware upgrades causing problems!
