Vaio VGN -N21M Smoking

Has anyone had this problem and if so what can i do,a few weeks ago i was on my Laptop when it started to smell (electrical)I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO SET ON FIRE,any way i turned the Machine off and diconnected the Battery,i gave it a few minutes and plugged the Battery back into the Laptop it started for a few minutes and then switched itself off,i have tried getting it to work without the Battery but it wont come on,i have mailed sony many times to which they keep stating they have tried to contact me,even when they have not,and also the machine is about 15months old and is out of warranty,i have told them i will not pay for this as i have another Laptop (Toshiba)which is used more than the sony and is about 3 yrs older and still runs pretty quick,this is why i am reluctant to pay sony as i dont think these machines should start smoking 15 months down the line i dont even know if my data is still on the Machine.

I have spoken with Sony who are immposible to get hold of i.e sony vaio link the person who left a message was Julian who i have asked to call me back after 6pm as i have to work during the day,when i phone the No i cannot get through,this is ridiculous and i am now looking at buying another Laptop and it will not be sony i will also remove all my registration links with Sony as i have spent thousands with them thanks for nothing sony and guess what you just lost another customer hope your customer services and after care team are happy,goes to show where sonys loyalty lies when you spend hard earned money with them.

as you are no doubt aware sony support are available during Monday-Friday 08:00-18:00 (local time), do you work 10 hours a days.?

Have you tried to arrange for someone to call you during your lunch hour.?
