Recently had to reinstall my system due to numerous blue screening (laptop only 2 days old!). Recovery disks worked fine but the vaio update is showing a driver update for Mobile Intel® PM45 Express Chipset. When i try to install a get an error message say my system does not meet the minimum requirements. Reviewing the spec on the vaio website you can see the chipset listed. I also remember seeing (i though it was strange at the time) the intel chipset listed under the device manager tab just below my ATI graphic card listing prior to the system reinstall. Further to that i have the original driver in the C:\windows\drivers folder.
So why cant i install this driver? Im worried that i am losing performance?
In addition there is also a firmware update showing for my BlueRay drive. Again when i try to install this i get a message saying target DVD drive is not found correctly for this program.
Is it just me ... ?
If anyone can offer some assistance i would be gratefull!
