Vaio xl 201 trying to connect to ntl set top box what iam doing wrong??

Hi Everyone

Just as the title is really I have just bought the sony unit and have got it up and running fine on the internet but i dont appear to be able to get the media centre working with my ntl box i have tried it with a coax lead and also with a scart to component cable but when the media centre scans for the channels it picks up nothing?? what i'm i doing wrong??? has anyone else had this problem??

Alright Dude - I am having similar fun getting my SKY on it. If this helps at all...
I also tried SCART to s-video and the red/white audio channels - I scanned and found it but was in black & white. It seems s-video doesn't like SKY, maybe it's similar for NTL. I have it connected via the coax right now...works but picture not the best. It basically finds one channel as all the programs show up on channel 1. I spoke to a lad at the Sony Centre who told me that a SCART to yellow/red/white cable will work with SKY and the picture quality will be good. So I am off to maplin to swap my cable....
