Vaio Z dies when unplugged

Just wondering if anyone has had the same problem. Got one of the new i5 Z's a month or so ago and it has been working fine until this week. The problem is that it dies instantly once it is unplugged.

This happens even when it is fully charged or close to fuly charged.

I thought it was a bad battery but the odd thing is that it works without the power supply just fine. Its just the change from plugged in to unplugged that makes it cut out. So is this a battery issue or a more serious problem?

Thanks in advance,

Hi EC80 and welcome.

I would have a chat with Vaio aftersales support - it sounds like a switching problem on the power board on your Vaio's motherboard.
