Brought the VGC-M1 as a Christmas Present for myself. After 10 days the power unit inside decided to fail. Back at the retailers they were reluctant to see what they could do, as they have never worked on one before. To say it was like FORT KNOX to get inside is not under estimating the job. To try and get the hard-drive out to retrieve and download the data took 40 minutes. While it was on the desk with the hard drive out they powered it up and it started working again. They still are not sure what the problem was. They did replace the machine with a new one.
Has anyone else suffered a total power failure with the VGC-M1.
