VGC-M1 how to replace the hard disk drive

Where can I find documentation on how to dismantle the PC with a view to replacing the hard disk drive please ?

Why would u wanna replase ur hard disk?

HDD would need to be replaced if it broke or was too small. An image backup is good preventive measure.

I'm going to be replacing the pci graphics card in my vgc m1, so let me know how you get on with this.

The graphics card is on the PCI bus !!!!
I tried unscrewing the case and got past the plastic layer, but the metal shell defeated me - I can't see anyway in !
The only components which is readily available it seems is the memory.

There are pci slots but you are right the graphics card is on the pci bus, the pci slots are for the tv tuner and ethernet adaptor, the hard disk drive is below them, to get to it, you must remove the siide panel for the headphones s vid etc, then remove the metal shielding.I am dissapointed you cannot upgrade the graphics hardware in the machine, unless someone comes up with a way of swapping over mobility graphics chips, I am snookered.

The hdd is in another casing as well which is extremely hard to remove.
