Have the Vaio VGC-RC102 desktop, happy overall but have a problem trying to get any sound out of the rear analogue speaker connection. Analogue front and digital output work, haven't tried the woofer output.
No matter what source I use CD DVD etc. or what combination of settings I have tried, have set all the speaker/audio settings to quadraphonic/4 channel etc in control panle and vaio zone but still complete silence.:smileycry:
Anyone else had this problem or found away to get the rear output working?:smileyconfused:
Hi andycob,
Exactly which connections are you trying to use on the back of the RC-102?
The sound card outputs on the rear.
inlcude:
stereo 3.5mm plug labelled front,
another labelled rear
a socket labelled woofer/center
a socket with the symbol for line in
and an optical digital output.
Essential you should be able to connect analogue surround, using the front and rear stereo connections etc. as well as with the optical out but I get nothing from the rear stereo output no matter what I try.
Mine is just connected by the 3.5mm FRONT jack and works OK.
Have you checked in Control Panel -> Sound Reality Audio -> Levels that nothing is Muted?
As far as I can tell I have tried just about every combination of settings that should produce an output but nothing
I use FRONT on the RA104
