Hi to all!!
I have installed Vista Home Premium on my VGC-V2S and i am struggling with Nvidia Drivers.
There is no support from Sony yet for the VGC-V2S and from the e-mail i had from e-support i dont think there will be any!!!
I have done a clean install so no upgrade.
Vista only provided basic drivers 800x600 etc, so i followed a link and downloaded 97.35 drivers from guru3d.com which gives me the geforce go 5700 etc but i cannot find any way of adjusting brighness, colour etc (as you can in XP)am i missing something here!!!!!!
Also the TV card is not recognised but i think this will be solved by a USB tvstick!!! unless sony come up with some support, dont want to chuck the VGC-V2S in the skip yet!!
Any help appreciated.
Hi All
Managed to sort this problem out!!
Got Vista driver from www.guru3d.com (forceware vista 100.51 (32-bit)
Delete the .inf in the set up folder and replace with modded .inf file located in separate folder.
Uninstall any other nvidia drivers then install 100.51 and all works including widescreen and all colour contrls etc.
Hope this helps someone else with the same probs!!!!!
Thanks Steve - good work!
I'm sure this will help lots of Club Vaio members - especially as the Sony nVidia driver seems to be a bit bug ridden.
Does this also solve the TV problems?
Ahh just downloading 100.95 driver at the moment, hopefully it should work.
I Wish sony would release the tv tuner driver for vista!!
