Hi,
Within 4 days of buying my CS11 the fan inside started making this strange clunking sound and revving up and down. I tolerated it for the best part but now the fan is making this aggressive grating sound and I'm tempted to send it back. My only problem is that I don't live in the UK anymore (where I bought it) so it would perhaps be a big problem.
In any case, from reading other posts Sony just seem to be replacing the laptops or bunging in the same part which seems to be really badly manufactured. I've read numerous accounts about their laptop coming back with the same problem.
On that note, could anyone recommend a replacement part/part number which I could use to replace the fan? It's pretty easy to take the back plate off from what I can tell. Fixing laptops is nothing new to me so it might work out better this way.
I've looked on ebay and loads of other places but nothing! Is this part proprietary for this chassis?
