Hi,
I have a really annoying problem that I cannot seem to stop. Sony's "My Club Vaio" software keeps loading when Windows starts up, and I find it really annoying. Does anyone know how this programme is called? I cannot find it anywhere in the startup menu / startup services / windows registry. It's almost like the programme is loading by magic!
Hi Ryan,
Welcome to Club Vaio.
You should be able to stop My Club Vaio.exe from starting if you go to start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Scheduled Tasks..
Then dis enable the MCV entry..
Hi and welcome to Club Vaio to you too rjhome

Hi,
I have the same annoying problem with MyClubVaio.exe starting up everytime I boot up.
I'm using Vista Home Premium and have checked the task scheduler, startup folder, run msconfig and cannot see where it is kicked off from.. going by previous threads it's started from one of the other vaio processes which probably need to be enabled.
I'll try renaming the MyClubVaio.exe and see how that goes.. not ideal so if anyone from Sony come up with a proper solution I'd love to hear about it.
Cheers
Robin.
Hi Robin,
welcome to Club Vaio..
Depending on your Vaio model Sony has released a Startup fix for My Club VAIO, check out the download section for your Vaio here.
Sony has decided to annoy their customers by putting in a well hidden start-up of MyClubVaio and several repetitive reminders for registration, which do not disappear once one has done the registration. This seems to be the case in Vista based notebooks at least. The solution to this is as follows:
Open TaskManager, look for the task library and delete everything that has MCV in the name. Restart to test whether it has worked. It did for me. Thanks to Sony for hours of annoyed search!
Congratulations to all who manage to get rid of it in this way.
