Hi guys
Please help me with this, I have a vaio VGN FS115M , there are a bzzzz sound comming out from the laptop when the screen bright is not set to the maximum. I have sent the laptop to fix because sony said it may need repair and they sent it back a month ago but its the same thing . can you guys make a little test and tell me if you have this sound?
When I am using the barttry power , if I put maximum bright the bzzz sound goes away , when I take down the bright any step this bezzing sound comes again... is it normal , does it happen with your laptop ?

this is normal.
on the level from 1-7 it makes bzzzz.

I have two notebook FS115m and FS315H.
On both its the same.

hi there

i got my vaio fs 315h for almost a month now and since yesterday i got the same problem...

it was the hole month very quiet, but then suddenly it made this strange noises...

when the brightness is under the maximum, it makes this bzzz sound, and when its at the maximum its more like a whistle.
sometimes its straight whistling and sometimes with breaks... very confusing, because nothing happened to my notebook...

its really annoying... so i guess i should give it to sony for a repair/ change?

come from the CPU fan / processor fan.

definitely not. its coming from the screen, i can swear that.

when the notebook is lieing down for 20 minutes, this sound disappears.

how i know this?

1st: i hear its coming from the screen
2nd: when i close the display, the noise disappears.
3rd: i know how a cpu fan sounds.

Hi there,

I've got a VGN-FS215B, and i've got no bzzz noise from the screen. It's working very quietly. The notebook is now about 5 months old. I thougt let u know this informatie, i guess it's not a problem with every VGN FS notebook.
